dis + ADVANTAGE leads with the belief that disability and expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurship can coexist.
This is not an attempt to rebrand disability as a superpower or suggest that every part of living with a disability is advantageous. There are real challenges, environments that are unnecessarily difficult, and systems that are not designed for everyone.

The work is primarily focused on the experiences of persons living with Tourette syndrome and tic disorder and their comorbidities while recognizing that many of the ideas explored here are applicable to a broader community of people living and working with disabilities.
